Explore the exciting world of graphic design. Whether you have a passion for design, art, technology, or storytelling, this elective offers a dynamic platform to explore an artform that surrounds you in everyday life. You will tackle real-world design briefs, such as food packaging, websites and apps, or album covers, logos and posters. This elective is designed to ignite your creativity and equip you with the skills and knowledge to expand your creative thinking and express your ideas visually. You'll tackle real-world design briefs, applying design thinking techniques to develop innovative and visually impactful solutions. You will also explore the work of influential designers and design trends to gain a deeper appreciation for the role of graphic design in society.

With access to industry-standard design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and beyond, you'll gain experience in using these tools to create powerful visuals, manipulate images when designing logos, characters, packaging, illustrations, posters, web pages, apps and more. Incorporating some industrial design, you may also have the opportunity to design products such as chairs and lighting.

In a Graphic Design Elective you will be encouraged to:
