Outdoor Education Elective

Outdoor Education Elective aims to introduce students to actions and activities in natural environments. Students will be introduced to fundamental skills and techniques required for outdoors participation, and developing an appreciation of the Outdoors.

This course focuses on students skill development for recreation in the natural environment. Students will explore a range of environments and will develop skills for safe participation.

When considering this unit, students and parents must be aware that activities will be carried out in all weather conditions and the activities can be physically demanding and exhausting.

Activites and Camps are a focus of this subject and the students enrolled will be expected to participate in camp and activities to complete the course. Costs are influenced by co-design of experience and will be communicated to the class when camps have been organised.
