Pre VCE Media

Year Long

In Pre VCE Media students will build on their skills and knowledge developed in Media Elective to work towards VCE Media or alternative Media Pathways. This subject will explore a range of media products and forms, develop media language and an understanding of the Media Production Process. Students will build an understanding of how both media and audiences are influential and the impact they have on one another. Students will study and analyse existing media products in a range of media forms and genres and understand how they are constructed using codes and conventions. Students will develop their own personal style by creating their own media products and work through the media production process to plan, develop, create and distribute their own media products. Media language will be developed throughout students written skills and ability to analyse media products to inform their own. Throughout Pre VCE Media, students are required to work both independently and collaboratively and undertake specific roles and responsibilities within the production process.
