SEMESTER long

It is recommended that students undertake this at FLE3.

This subject is the perfect stepping stone for VCE Visual Communication Design. Pre VCE Visual Communication Design is designed to prepare you by developing deeper creativity, design thinking, skills and knowledge through exciting, hands-on design projects.

Throughout the year, you'll follow the design process to investigate, generate, develop, and refine creative solutions to real-world design briefs. Using both manual and digital techniques, you'll build confidence in visualising ideas, concepts and communicating design solutions.

You'll develop your skills using industry-standard software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp, while building a design folio that documents your research, exploration and design thinking. You'll also investigate the work of influential designers and discover how design shapes the world around us.
